Stacked washer dryer

I received my Whirlpool stacked washer dryer on November 8th 2019. It works beautifully. My only complaint is the dryer is VERY loud. It seems very thin compared to the washer..So far it works fine. I didn't need all kinds of bells and whistles so this works perfectly.

Whirlpool's quality has really gone down hill. The first unit that was delivered was returned because the tub showed signs of rust after the first use. The second unit was extremely noisy that it could be heard throughout the apartment. There would be no way that the unit could be used late at night. The unit was so loud that the cabinet vibrated and that vibration could be felt in the floor. The third unit didn't start right out of the box. The installers managed to get it working but I don't know what they did to get it going. This is also a very noisy unit with a cabinet that vibrates and rattles. The installers needed to loosen a few screws and put some padding into crevasses to stop the rattling. Lastly, there is a design flaw in the dryer, near the lint trap, where dryer sheets get caught and get stuck. That makes using a dryer sheet useless since it's not moving through the clothes as they tumble. Other users have made note of this too, but Whirlpool never address it. I don't trust this unit and I'm still deciding if I want to keep it. I guess the phrase "third time's a charm" doesn't apply here.

Machines work fine with minor annoyances, drier is noisy and the fabric softener sheets get caught in the gasket of the door. And it is really difficult to rate these as I have only had the unit two weeks. Also why do I have to provide a nickname to fill out your survey? I have picked 3 and they have been taken. Stupid and unnecessary.

Get ready to put cotton in your ears. The dryer is VERY loud...so loud that it can be heard throughout the entire apartment. The installers told me that the noise level is normal. I said to get the unit out of my house.

I have had this laundry center for a month or so. My previous stackable was finally beyond repair after many tears of service. I really like this Whirlpool a lot. It is very easy to operate and does a great job washing and drying all size loads. Wasn't sure I would like the controls at the top of the unit above eye level. It did not take long to get used to them. This unit meets my needs very well and I would purchase it again.
